Metta Dharmasaputra is the founder, executive director, and editor in chief of Katadata, an online publishing company with expertise in data analysis, research and reporting on business and economics topics in Indonesia. He has more than 15 years experience as a journalist specializing in economics, business and investigative reporting. He was won a number of awards, including the Udin Award from the Alliance of Independent Journalists in Indonesia in 2008m, for his investigation into Asian Agri, the largest tax case in Indonesia. In 2007, he was awarded the Best Indonesian Journalist of the Year.
